When performing a banishing ritual, it is best to be clear-headed and calm. This keeps positivity flowing and allows you to take back your power by removing something or someone from your life, as opposed to cursing or harming. Instead, envision your goals and be sure you are settled from any resentment or anger before you begin your ritual. 
 
The Conjured Saint recommends a ritual “banishing bath,” because it provides relaxation from weariness and worry, freeing you from any troubles you seek to repel. Light a white candle and a black candle. The black candle will banish the energy you are attempting to escape, while the white candle will draw light energy in. You may also pour a salt circle around the tub for protection, if you like. Dress the candles by anointing the black candle with Banishing Oil from the middle down, while anointing the white candle from the middle in an upwards motion.
Draw a warm or hot bath and add three or seven drops of Banishing Oil. Three and seven are holy numbers, making them the perfect amount for powerful cleansing. Swirl the bath water counter-clockwise three times and repeat an affirmation about what you wish to remove from your life. After, relax in the bath, allowing the water to wash over you and cleanse you of difficulties. As the water swirls down the drain when the bath is over, imagine what you are banishing being carried far away from your person and sacred space.
