In Hoodoo, the Black Cat brings luck and protection, although some stories of its use involve the demise of your enemies by stealing their luck.
 
Inspired by the old-time Hoodoo recipes that rootworkers incorporated into everyday magic, each candle is created with a special brew of oils and rare herbs to be powerful, effective and work very fast. You can see the distinctive medley of herbs and oils fused right into the top of the candle!  
 
There is a unique spell with each candle, though you are encouraged to add your own words to make your work personal. 
 
Some use a four-leaf clover, some use a rabbit's foot; lucky charms come in all shapes and sizes, why not as a candle? The black cat is a powerful protector and a great ally to get luck on your side.   
 
Conjurers would use the superstitions of the black cat to increase their magical powers. Gamblers would use Black Cal oil in big stakes games to pull all the luck in the room to them.
